Karachi: On Monday, the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the Pakistani rupee rose by 74.
The US dollar closed at 176.2 rupees on the first working day of the week, compared with the previous closing price of 175.46 rupees.
At the same time, according to a report from the National Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro rose by 71 paisa to close at 198.56 rupees, while the last working day’s transaction price was 197.85 rupees.
The yen closed at 1.55 rupees, while the pound exchange rate rose by 1.35 rupees. Compared with the last closing price of 233.53 rupees, the trading price of the pound was 234.88 rupees.
The exchange rates of the UAE dirham and the Saudi riyal rose by about 20 paisas respectively, closing at 47.97 rupees and 46.96 rupees, respectively.
