Rupee continues winning streak as dollar plunges in interbank

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued to rise against the US dollar in interbank lending on Friday.

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued to gain ground in the interbank market as the dollar fell by 3.38 rupees against the rupee and is now trading around 215.50 rupees.

On Thursday, the rupee gained 3.03 rupees, or 1.38 percent, to settle at 218.88 rupees against the dollar.

It is worth mentioning that on July 28, 2022, the US dollar traded at a record rate of 239.94 rupees between banks.
