During the three days of Eid-ul-Fitr, 36 people were killed and 4,860 injured in a record 4,040 traffic accidents in Punjab. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala topped the list while citizens also broke records of fake emergency calls.
According to detailed information, road traffic accidents in Punjab province broke all previous records within three days of Eid al-Fitr. During this period, more than 4,000 traffic accidents occurred throughout the province, killing 36 people and injuring 4,860 people.
According to the Director General Dr. 1122 Dr. Rizwan Naseer, 1469 accidents were reported on the first day of Eid, and road traffic accidents were reported on the second day (1349) and the second day (third day) of Eid. .
Rescuers in 1122 sent 2302 injured home after providing them with first aid, and 2558 injured were transferred to the nearest hospital.
In Lahore, Faisalabad, 360 in Multan, 305 and Rawalpindi, a total of 623 accidents were reported, 305 of which. On the other hand, 240 fires were reported in Punjab.
Citizens showed a lack of responsibility during the Eid holiday. During the three days of Eid, the emergency services received 207,140 calls, of which only 10,000 involved actual incidents and the rest were declared false.
