The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts that starting today, with the appearance of low-pressure areas around the Kutch Rann area of India, rainfall and thunder will occur in the metropolis.
“The spell would last two days during which heavy rainfall is expected in the metropolis tonight and Friday morning preceded by dusty winds,” said PMD Director Sardar Sarfaraz.
According to the official, the high wind speed is expected to be about 50 to 60 km/h, and the rainfall is expected to be between 20 and 30 mm.
The PMD said in today’s daily weather update that the western part of Balluchi West is at a seasonal low, while the central and upper parts of the country are flooded with tide.
“Rain-wind-thundershower is expected in upper/central Punjab Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lower Sindh, Northeast Balochistan Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday.”
“Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country,” the advisory added.
Last week’s showers that hit the city killed more than a dozen people and also caused power outages in the province’s capital.
