Qureshi raises question on performance evaluation criteria of ministries

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday questioned the performance evaluation criteria of ministries.

According to the source, the foreign minister wrote to Sheikhzad Albab, special assistant to the prime minister, in which he expressed serious concerns about the provision of the 11th number to the foreign ministry.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi mentioned that in the first quarter of the performance agreement, the State Department achieved 22 of the 26 targets. The second quarter also successfully achieved 18 of its 24 targets. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has ensured that there are no outstanding cases during the review period.

Foreign Minister Qureshi said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also carried out high-level activities. No concerns were expressed about the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No written guidelines for 30% performance evaluation are provided.
