Quetta: One killed, several injured in blast near police mobile


Quetta: An explosion on Jinnah Road in Quetta killed one person and injured more than a dozen.

According to Geo News, the explosion occurred near a police vehicle and shortly after the explosion, a nearby store caught fire. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Quetta confirmed that the explosion killed one person and injured more than a dozen others.

All the wounded have been transferred to civilian hospitals in Quetta, DIG said.

Meanwhile, hospital staff told police the six were in critical condition.

The report added that police and law enforcement agencies had arrived at the scene of the incident to gather information, but so far no details about the nature of the explosion have been released.

After the incident, Jinnah Road and its surrounding streets were cordoned off and closed to traffic, according to police.
