ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chair and former president Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday that he is hopeful for internal change.

Speaking to the media outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court, the co-chair said he had told the government from day one that it could not handle the country.

Time has proven my stance that the elected people are all ineligible, he added.

The former president further said that the people are suffering from different issues and the government is incapable of doing anything.

Earlier in the day, the accountability court had reserved a verdict on a bail plea of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in New York property case.

During the hearing, Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H. Naek appealed the court to approve permanent bail of his client.

Responding to the counsel, NAB prosecutor told that they have not issued arrest warrant of the former president yet, therefore, the petition should be turned down.

Subsequently, the court upheld the original judgment after hearing the arguments of both parties.
