PSX loses 168 points to close at 43,807.23 points

PSX witnesses bullish trend as index gains 810.66 points

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100 index continued its bullish run on Thursday, adding 810.66 points, or 1.88%, to 43,853.62 points, compared with 43,042.96 points in the previous working day.

A total of 271,905,762 shares were traded on the day compared to the previous day’s volume of 183,707,688 shares at Rs 74.95 crore and Rs 60.66 crore the previous day.

A total of 356 companies traded on the stock market, of which 242 rose, 95 lost money and 19 remained unchanged.

The top three trading houses are Pak Elektron (R) with 35,001,000 shares traded at Rs 2.52 per share; TPL Properties with 23,458,257 traded at Rs 23.72 per share; WorldCall Telecom with 22,927,500 shares traded at Rs 23.72 per share for a share of Rs1.69.

Nestlé Pakistan was the biggest gainer at Rs 80 per share to close at Rs 5,450, while the runner-up was Systems Limited, which rose Rs 42 to Rs 674.94.

Bhanero Tex was the biggest loser at Rs 81.96 at Rs 1,317.04, followed by Sanofi-Aventis, whose shares fell Rs 30 to close at Rs 860.
