PSX plunges more than 1,100 points intraday

PSX loses 94.37 points to close at 44,923.91 points


ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (psx) KSE 100 index fell 94.37 points, or 0.21%, to close at 44,923.91 on Monday, from 45,018.28 in the previous working day.

A total of 160,210,673 shares traded on the day compared to the previous day’s volume of 176,131,035 shares against Rs 574.2 crore and Rs 707.1 crore the previous day As many as 325 companies traded shares on the stock market, of which 96 made profits and 214 lost money , the stock prices of 15 companies remained unchanged.

The top three trading houses are Cnergyico PK with 25,459,827 shares traded at Rs 6.18 per share; TRG Pak Ltd with 21,129,927 traded at Rs 80.89 per share; Hascol Petrol with 11,825,000 shares traded at Rs 6.03 per share rupee.

Sapphire Tex topped Rs 75 per share to close at Rs 1,124, while the runner-up was Siemens Pak, which climbed Rs 21.84 to Rs 660.

Unilever Foods was the biggest loser by 152 rupees to close at 20,847 rupees, followed by Philip Morris Pak, whose shares fell 30 rupees to close at 770 rupees.
