ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100 index fell on Thursday, down 290.54 points, or 0.63%, to close at 45,652.62, from 45,943.16 in the previous working day.
A total of 186,431,158 shares were traded on the day compared to the previous day’s volume of 234,997,430 shares at Rs 5.621 crore compared to Rs 8.011 crore in the previous session.
A total of 311 companies traded on the stock market, of which 92 rose, 198 lost money and 21 remained unchanged.
The three major trading houses are Lotte Chemical with a volume of 19,980,500 at Rs 19.78 per share; Cnergyico Pk with a volume of 19,858,684 at Rs 6.50 per share; Pak Refinery with a volume of 12,900,500 at Rs 16.03 per share .
The biggest gainer of Premium Tex was Rs 35 per share to close at Rs 2,335, while the runner-up was Indus Motor Co, which rose Rs 8.21 to Rs 1,348.96.
Nestlé Pakistan was the biggest loser by 99 rupees at 5,501 rupees, followed by Mari Petroleum, whose shares fell 29.47 rupees to 1,701.36 rupees.
