PSX loses 206 points to close at 46,333 points


ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE Q100 index fell on Tuesday, losing 206.23 points, or 0.44%, to 46,333.36 points, from 46,539.59 points in the previous working day.

A total of 228,620,219 shares were traded on the day compared to the previous day’s volume of 255,608,677 shares at Rs 8.838 crore compared to Rs 9.644 crore in the previous session.

A total of 345 companies traded on the stock market, of which 94 rose, 226 lost money and 25 remained unchanged.

The top three trading houses are Cnergyico Pk with a volume of 18,326,925 at Rs 6.14 per share, Ghani Glo Hol with a volume of 18,029,500 at Rs 19.36 per share, and WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 11,547,000 at Rs 1.80 per share .

Sapphire Fiber topped Rs 67 per share to close at Rs 968, while the runner-up was Bhanero Tex, which rose Rs 37 to Rs 1,370.

Mari Petroleum was the biggest loser at 26.04 rupees to close at 1,735.44 rupees, followed by Philip Morris Pak, whose shares fell 20 rupees to close at 639 rupees.
