ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100 index was in a bullish trend on Wednesday, rising 35.12 points, or 0.08%, to 45,916.25, from 45,881.13 in the previous working day.
A total of 514,384,636 shares traded at Rs 1,060.3 crore on the day, compared to 339,102,594 shares traded at Rs 97.47 crore the previous day.
A total of 377 companies traded on the stock market, of which 176 rose, 169 lost money and 32 remained unchanged.
The top three trading houses were WorldCall Telecom with 133,908,500 shares traded at Rs 2.53 per share; Unity Foods Ltd with 39,147,319 traded at Rs 2.85 per share; Hascol Petrol with 23,439,367 shares traded at Rs 6.91 per share .
Unilever Foods topped Rs 649 per share to close at Rs 20,149, while the runner-up was Sapphire Fiber, which rose Rs 52.27 to Rs 903.27.
Nestlé Pakistan was the biggest loser at Rs 179.94 at Rs 5,510.06, followed by Rafhan Maize, whose shares fell Rs 50 to close at Rs 9,850.
