ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100 index turned bullish on Friday, adding 234.7 points, or 0.52%, to 45,675.87, from 45,441.10 in the previous working day.
A total of 194,053,663 shares were traded on the day compared to the previous day’s volume of 152,862,750 shares at Rs 43.14 crore and Rs 47.78 crore the previous day.
A total of 333 companies traded on the stock market, of which 179 rose, 131 lost money and 23 remained unchanged.
The top three trading houses are Punjab Bank with a volume of 60,301,500 shares at a price of Rs 8.26 per share, Soneri Bank Ltd with a volume of 16,356,000 at a price of Rs 10.50 per share, and Telecard Limited with a volume of 11,100,911 shares at a price of Rs 15.99 per share share.
Nestlé Pakistan was the biggest gainer at Rs 99 per share to close at Rs 5,749, while the runner-up was Unilever Foods, which rose Rs 500 to Rs 21,500.
Bata Pak was the biggest loser at Rs 71.50 at Rs 2,101, followed by Allawasaya Tex, which fell by Rs 127.66 to close at Rs 1,574.56.
