KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi will face Islamabad United on Sunday in fifth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7 match.
The match is scheduled for 2.30pm Pakistan time.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi defeated the Quetta Gladiators by five wickets in the second match of the PSL 2022 Seventh Edition at the National Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Hussain alat’s half-century and substitute captain Shoaib Malik’s unbeaten 48 ensured that Peshawar Zalmi started their campaign with a thrilling five-wicket victory over the Quetta Gladiators.
Chasing 191 to win, Talat and Malik put on a fine partnership before the latter finished the job, hitting James Faulkner for 22 runs in the penultimate over to swing the case.
Playing first, Quetta Gladiators had set 191 runs target for Peshawar Zalmi. Openers William Smeed and Ahsan Ali helped Quetta Gladiators put up a massive 191 runs target. Will Smeed made 97 off 62 balls, with the help of 11 fours and four sixes, while Ahsan Ali smashed 73 off 46 balls with the help of eight fours and three sixes.
The second match of PSL 7 will be played by Lahore Calanders and Karachi Kings later today.
