LAHORE: Abid Ali, the prime suspect in motorway rape case, is still at large on eighth day of the incident (Wednesday) as the Punjab Police have handed over the task of arresting him to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

Despite using the latest technology, the authorities failed to capture Abid Ali, so CTD participated in the case. The Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIA) police still failed. However, the arrest of the suspect Shafqat is being investigated for imprisonment.

On the other hand, the statement of the affected women has not yet been recorded, and a special team has been established in this regard to contact the victims. The police stated that the woman’s statement in this case is very important in law.

As we all know, Vajal Hassan’s san son Abbas and his brother were released after investigations on Tuesday. A few days ago, the police arrested Abbas and his brothers Salamante and Botha.

The decision to release the main suspect, Abid Ali’s neighbour Waqar-ul-Hassan, will be made after receiving his DNA report.
