Islamabad: While greeting Eid al-Fitr, President Arif Alvi urged countries to continue to take preventive measures because the world is suffering from the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
President Arif Alvi said in his speech that the entire country united and taking preventive measures will face the severe challenge of coronavirus.
The president said that in addition to sharing the joy of this sacred moment, this day reminded them to pay special attention to those in need, and through the attention of all levels of society to make these people deserve the fun.
Dr. Arif Alvi also prayed for the unity and strength of the country to successfully overcome the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his speech that sharing the joy of Eid al-Fitr with the oppressed and neglected groups in society can turn their observance of religious activities into purposeful and objective activities.
The Prime Minister also stressed the need to comply with preventive measures, and the government has established standard operating procedures for COVID-19, so that people can save the lives of their loved ones and compatriots.
He urged to fully absorb the qualities of piety, discipline and kindness that were practiced as a permanent part of life during Ramadan.
He said that all mankind is facing the challenge of COVID-19, and all countries are working hard to control its spread.
Prime Minister Imran emphasized that social alienation and preventive measures are the only ways to control its spread.
