Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Birawal Bhutto said on Tuesday that his party has become an important party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Authority (LB) poll.
The chairman of the People’s Party praised the unremitting efforts of the party members and congratulated them on their victory.
He went on to add that PPP has a tradition of never retreating. Bilawal further suggested that party members continue to work hard and win the upcoming general election.
Earlier today, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Mariam Nawaz said that the Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) had been defeated in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local government election.
Maryam Nawaz said in conversations with media sources that the PTI vote is actually a humiliating vote. It is the first government in history to fail consecutively in by-elections.
The leader of PML-N stated that there is no power on earth to support Imran Khan’s performance and demanded the resignation of the government.
When referring to PTI leaders, she said that they call KP their home, but in the next election, no one will accept PTI votes, and candidates for the party must wear helmets before they go public.
Earlier, prosecutors from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) asked the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to adjourn Avenfield’s reference hearing without any litigation. Maryam Nawaz appeared in court.
During the proceedings, the NAB prosecutor told him that he was developing a fever and the doctor advised him to self-isolate. Therefore, he asked IHC to postpone the hearing of the appeal.
Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing to January 18.
