Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice chairman Maryam Nawaz said on Monday that the party will not split into two factions.
At her press conference in Lahore, hosted by the party leader Ahsan Iqbal, she said that PML-Shahbaz [PML-S] and PML-Nawaz [PML-N] are united and never Will separate.
She regretted the arrest of party chairman Shehbaz Sharif, saying that for the first time in the country’s history, she was arrested for the second time by the opposition leader of the Kuomintang.
Maryam Nawaz said that Shehbaz Sharif has not been arrested on allegations but for standing by the side of former prime minister and party supremo Nawaz Sharif.
She said that the opposition leader has been punished for his loyalty to his brother, while Shehbaz’s wife and daughters have been declared proclaimed offenders. “Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest is the result of NAB-Niazi nexus,” said the PML-N Vice-president. She also questioned the process of accountability.
The vice president of PML-N stated that despite being diagnosed with COVID-19, Hamza Shehbaz is still in prison.
Maryam Nawaz (Maryam Nawaz) said that due to the failure of the government, inflation has reached its peak. He warned that if Imran Khan is supported, everything will lose PML-N’s control. She said many leaders including Rana Sanaullah and Ahsan Iqbal have been arrested, but they have failed to break PML-N.
When talking about the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, she said: “I ask the country to pay close attention to national elections.”
