Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) asked the Prime Minister to resign. The party leader said that Imran Khan should admit that he failed to manage the country and go home. They said that inflation has become a tsunami for the people, especially the newly increased tax on petroleum products.
Talking to media along with Khawaja Asif and Ahsan Iqbal, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that on May 31, 2018, when their government’s term ended, Pakistanis used to buy petrol at Rs 72.11 which was taxed and sold at Rs 87.70 while today, the actual price is Rs 55 and taxes are more than Rs 44. He said that the petrol costing Rs 55 to 56 should be be sold at Rs 67, at most.
PML-N leaders further lamented the rise in gasoline prices because the economy is already in trouble. He said that gasoline prices have risen by 34%, exacerbating the government’s failure and placing a heavy burden on the public.
Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan tweeted in 2013 and 2018 and criticized the government for the resignation of gasoline prices. Asf added that if he had the courage, he should resign now. He said that the storm of inflation will not stop there, but we will work out a joint strategy with all opposition parties to eliminate the self of the Imran people.
PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal (Ahsan Iqbal) said that the government levied additional taxes on petroleum products through the back door, this sudden increase in gasoline prices will have a profound impact. He added that the increase of 25 rupees in the price of petroleum products was a fatal blow to the Indian economy.
