ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with federal minister has arrived in Madina Munawarah on a three-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He was warmly received by Al Madinah Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman and senior Saudi officials.
Federal Ministers Bialwal Bhutto Zardari, Miftah Ismail, Shahzain Bugti, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Asif, Chaudhry Salik Hussain and MNA Drs Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mohsin Dawar accompanied the Prime Minister.
The prince’s minister then met in Medina with Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, governor of the province of Medina, to discuss Pakistan’s brotherhood with Saudi Arabia. The two sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Before starting his three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Baz Sharif said in a video message that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a deep-rooted and enduring brotherly relationship built on mutual trust and mutual support on a solid foundation. .
He said that the Pakistani people have the highest respect for the guardian of the Two Holy Mosques. “We are very grateful for Saudi Arabia’s consistent support during Pakistan’s difficult times,” he said. As far as Pakistan is concerned, it has always stood with Saudi Arabia and will always stand shoulder to shoulder with our Saudi brothers.
Shehbaz Sharif said the visionary Saudi leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has worked assiduously to achieve greater progress and prosperity for the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia. He said we take pride in the remarkable development achieved by Saudi Arabia within the framework of Crown Prince s vision of 2030 which is a transformational initiative. He also commend the Kingdom s leadership of the Muslim Ummah and its deep commitment to Muslim causes.
The Prime Minister said he looks forward to his interactions with the Saudi leadership to review our multifaceted bilateral cooperation and to take this special relationship to unknown heights. He also conveyed his sincere good wishes to Pakistani expatriates in the Kingdom, who have always contributed enormously to the economic development of Pakistan. He said they are our key partners in further fortifying Pakistan-Saudi brotherly relations.
Shehbaz Sharif said he is delighted that after assumption of office as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, his first visit abroad is to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This reflects the highest importance that Pakistan attaches to its special relationship with Saudi Arabia, which is historic in nature and strategic in significance. He also thanked the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for his gracious invitation for the visit.
