Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Lahore today (Thursday) for a one-day visit amid heightened political tensions after a motion of no confidence was filed. He plans to chair important meetings during his stay in the city.

According to sources, the prime minister plans to hold separate meetings with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sawar and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdal.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will also chair a parliamentary party meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, to which all members of the PTI Punjab Provincial Assembly have been invited.

However, the Jahangir Tareen Group declined the invitation to attend the meeting. The Tareen Group has announced a boycott of parliamentary party meetings.

According to sources, the Tallinn Group has decided not to participate in any parliamentary party meetings until Usman Buzdal remains the province’s chief minister.

Members of the Tareen group said Usman Bazdar was not accepted as chief minister, so they would not attend any meetings that would strengthen Usman Bazdar’s power.
