Islamabad: The Federal Cabinet will meet in Islamabad today (Tuesday) to discuss the country’s economic and political situation.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the Federal Cabinet meeting held in the Prime Minister’s Office. The Cabinet will discuss the 13-point agenda during the meeting.
According to sources, the Federal Cabinet will approve the transfer of PTDC’s property to relevant provinces. The cabinet will also approve the lease of PTDC land in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir to the private sector.
The Federal Cabinet will also approve the extension of the transit trade agreement with Afghanistan. The Cabinet will hear briefings on the vacant seats of CEOs and MDs from relevant ministries and departments.
The source further stated that the Cabinet will also approve the ICT Criminal Prosecution Service Act of 2021, and the review of natural gas and RLNG tariffs on the export sector is also on the agenda of the Cabinet meeting.
The Cabinet will also approve the temporary extension of NTDCL’s managing director, and will approve the third amendment to the 2021 tax law regulations.
The Federal Cabinet will approve the appointment of the chairman of the Export Processing Zone Administration. The Cabinet will consider the proposal to add electric fans to the PSQS list
The Federal Cabinet will also approve the Securities and Futures Market Act of 2021. The Cabinet will also approve the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the Cabinet Institutional Reform Committee.
