Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the 42nd Common Interest Committee meeting in Islamabad today (Thursday).
The chief ministers of the four provinces, some federal ministers, the attorney general and other officials will attend the 42nd session of the Common Interests Committee to review the 14-point agenda.
The CCI meeting will review the national strategy for the coronavirus pandemic, while reviewing the implementation of taxes, LNG imports and other important decisions at the meeting.
According to sources, a series of issues will be discussed at the meeting, including the amendment to the OGRA Regulations in 2002 and the transfer of control of Punjab’s Lower Canal to Punjab as part of the agenda.
The agenda also includes amendments to the 1948 Minerals Law, and the implementation of the HEC decision will be reviewed at the meeting.
These suggestions will be made in the upcoming meeting on water distribution among provinces in accordance with the decisions of the previous CCI meeting.
Participants will also review the implementation of decisions made at previous CCI meetings.
