Islamabad: After the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s local institution elections were frustrated, the day after the dissolution of all PTI institutions, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a new party structure. He was also the ruling PTI chairman.
Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry shared this development on Sunday.
In the new party setup, Asad Umar was appointed as Secretary-General, while Pervez Khattak, Ali Haider Zaidi, Qasim Suri, Shafqat Mahmood and Khusro Bakhtiar were appointed as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan The leaders of the new provinces, Punjab and South Punjab.
The minister added that Aamir Mehmood Kiani has been appointed as the party’s additional secretary general.
When talking about his appointment, Assad Omar said that it is an honor and a major responsibility to hold an important position in Pakistan’s largest political party.
“Inshallah, under the leadership of Imran Khan, PTI will become stronger in accordance with the expectations of the workers and voters in the party. The workers of this party are its capital, which other parties do not have.”
