PM Imran in Lahore on day-long visit

Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Lahore today and held an important meeting with provincial leaders.

According to details, PM Imran Khan held meeting with Governor Punjab who briefed the premier about his visit to United Kingdom. Chaudhry Sarwar said that everyone appreciated Pakistan’s role in Afghan peace process.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan stands with peace and that the country has made sacrifices to end terrorism.

The Chief Minister of Punjab Province Sardar Usman Bouzdal also briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of the investigation into the Sialkot incident.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed to ensure that such incidents would not happen again in the future.

CM Punjab said that steps are being taken in every department and development budget of the province has been increased by 80 billion rupees to Rs645 billion.

Imran Khan lauded steps taken by the Punjab government for health and said that health card is exemplary program of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

The premier also directed to focus more on program of public welfare and priority completion of under construction projects.

It merits mention that the premier will hold meetings with IG Punjab and Chief Secretary and a meeting regarding Kamyab Jawan Program will be held under the chair of Imran Khan.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will also launch the Naya Pakistan Sehat Project.
