PM Imran embarks on two-day official visit to Russia

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan began a two-day visit to Russia on Wednesday at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including members of the Cabinet. The bilateral summit will be the highlight of the visit.

Relations between the two countries are “marked by mutual respect, trust and consensus on a range of international and regional issues”.

During the summit, the leaders of the two countries will comprehensively review bilateral relations, including energy cooperation. They will also have a broad exchange of views on major regional and international issues, including Islamophobia and the situation in Afghanistan.

It added that the Prime Minister’s visit will help to further deepen the multi-faceted Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations and strengthen mutual cooperation in various fields.
