Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to accelerate rescue and relief efforts in flood-affected areas in view of the new rain spell.
He monitored rescue and disaster relief efforts in Qatar, instructing all relevant departments, including the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), to work closely in flood-affected areas.
Talking about the damage and devastation caused by the floods, the Prime Minister said it was our duty to help flood victims.
He said the recovery of the disaster area is a daunting task that can only be achieved through collective efforts.
The Prime Minister called on the public, including Pakistanis abroad, philanthropists and organisations, to assist in the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
