ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has imposed a ban on broadcasting live speeches of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on all satellite TV channels with immediate effect.
The ban was imposed under Section 27 of the PEMRA Regulations 2002.
In a statement, a PEMRA spokesman said Imran Khan made baseless allegations against the agency that could disrupt law and order.
Speaking at a protest rally in Islamabad’s F9 Park, it said Imran Khan was trying to incite the people against the institution.
