PDM announces to bring no-trust motion against PTI govt

Lahore: The chairman of the Pakistan Democratic Party (PDM) announced a motion of no confidence in the Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) government at a meeting chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday.

The opposition coalition meeting in Lahore, chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, discussed various issues, while Maryam Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif arranged a dinner.

Leaders from various parties including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz, Maryam Nawaz, Akram Durrani, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique attended the Model City meeting.

PML-N leaders and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from London were also present.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman told the media along with the National Assembly Opposition Leader and PML-N Deputy Chairman Maryam Nawaz that a motion of no confidence in the government has been decided.

The PDM chairman said they would contact the government’s allies to raise a motion of no confidence, and a team was also set up to contact coalition partners, while the job of making the motion was completed.

Fazlur Rehman went on to say that all opposition parties had agreed to a no-confidence motion, adding that they would ask the ruling Coalition party to end the coalition.
