Pakistan’s daily COVID-19 case count over 1000 for first time in about three months

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,299,848, Pakistan has reported 5 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,955 on Thursday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,085 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,076 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,676 in Sindh 5,938 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 366 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 484,226 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 446,300 in Punjab 181,573 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,984 in Islamabad, 34,682 in Azad Kashmir 33,654 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 23,655,230 coronavirus tests and 46,585 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,257,847 patients and 636 patients are in critical condition.
