Pakistan’s coronavirus positivity rate above 2pc for third day in a row


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,302,486, Pakistan has reported 1 death from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,962 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,345 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

So far, 13,077 people have died from the epidemic in Punjab, 7,678 in Sindh, 5,941 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 747 in Azad Kashmir, 366 in Balochistan, and 186 in the UK .

In addition, Sindh has confirmed 485,782 coronavirus cases, Punjab has confirmed 447,082 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province has 181,673 cases, Islamabad has 109,167 cases, Azad Kashmir has 34,696 cases, and Balochistan has 33,657 cases. Kyrgyzstan-10,429 cases.

Test and restore

To date, Pakistan has conducted 23,752,912 coronavirus tests and 46,537 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,258,332 patients and 629 patients are in critical condition.
