Pakistan to host 2025 Champions Trophy

The International Cricket Committee announced on Tuesday that Pakistan will host the next International Cricket Championship trophy.

A press release from the World Cricket Management Agency stated that the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States and the West Indies.

The last ICC event held in Pakistan was the 1996 Cricket World Cup. It is co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

The PCB press release stated that Ramiz Raja, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Committee, thanked ICC for awarding the game to Pakistan, saying that the event will demonstrate Pakistan’s enthusiasm for the sport.

The decision of the ICC board means that when eight teams and 15 games are held in three iconic venues in February 2025, Pakistan will defend the ICC championship trophy in their backyard.

Ramiz said: “I am happy that the International Criminal Court has decided to choose Pakistan as the host country for its elite tournament.”

“By arranging a major global event for Pakistan, the International Criminal Court has expressed full confidence and confidence in our management and operational capabilities and skills.

“We continue to show how great we are as a host. Through the 2025 ICC Championship trophy, we will once again show our passion and love for this sport, because this event will become a boon for millions of home fans and they will see World-class competition teams have close contact with their favorite international players.”

The International Criminal Court stated that it has also confirmed the host country for every major men’s limited event between 2024 and 2031.

In 2026, India and Sri Lanka will host the men’s T20 World Cup, and then another major event in 2027.
