Islamabad: The special representatives and envoys for Afghanistan from China, Russian Federation, the United States and Pakistan will participate in the Troika Plus meeting to be held in Islamabad today (Thursday).
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi will chair the meeting to discuss in detail the current situation in Afghanistan and the way forward.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Afghan delegation will also attend the “Troika+” meeting.
“Pakistan attaches great importance to the “Troika+” mechanism of the situation in Afghanistan. Pakistan hopes that the deliberations of the “Troika+” meeting will contribute to sustained efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
FO said that Pakistan remains committed to supporting a peaceful, stable, sovereign, prosperous and interconnected Afghanistan.
