Pakistan reports lowest coronavirus deaths in over a year


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,291,108, Pakistan has reported 2 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Sunday, the national death toll jumped to 28,872.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 260 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,058 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,649 in Sindh 5,907 in KP, 964 in Islamabad, 745 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 479,090 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,164 in Punjab 180,976 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,259 in Islamabad, 34,640 in Azad Kashmir 33,551 in Balochistan and 10,428 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 22,821,495 coronavirus tests and 42,640 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,252,647 patients and 666 patients are in critical condition.
