Pakistan reports 708 coronavirus cases, highest in over two months

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,297,235, Pakistan has reported 2 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,943 on Monday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 708 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,074 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,673 in Sindh 5,933 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 364 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 482,826 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 445,445 in Punjab 181,469 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,755 in Islamabad, 34,667 in Azad Kashmir 33,644 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 23,514,774 coronavirus tests and 45,643 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,257,168 patients and 632 patients are in critical condition.
