Pakistan reports 5,661 coronavirus cases, 60 deaths in 24 hours

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,053,660, Pakistan has reported 60 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 23,635 on Thursday.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), in the past 24 hours, 5,661 people have tested positive for COVID-19.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,122 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 6,098 in Sindh, 4,495 in KP, 807 in Islamabad, 636 in Azad Kashmir, 329 in Balochistan, and 148 in GB.

Furthermore, 392,433 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 360,494 in Punjab, 146,485 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 89,117 in Islamabad, 30,880 in Balochistan, 25,778 in Azad Kashmir and 8,473 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 16,278,190 coronavirus tests and 62,462 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 952,616 patients and 4,050 patients are in critical condition.
