Pakistan reports highest number of single-day COVID-19 cases

Pakistan reports 482 coronavirus cases, 3 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: Pakistan has reported 3 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, as the number of positive cases has soared to 1,294,861. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,921 on Thursday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 482 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,066 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,666 in Sindh 5,927 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 481,381 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,862 in Punjab 181,334 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,565 in Islamabad, 34,660 in Azad Kashmir 33,630 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 23,324,549 coronavirus tests and 50,662 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,255,931 patients and 639 patients are in critical condition.
