Lahore: Pakistan has reported no deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours as confirmed positive cases surged to 1,577,073. The national death toll stood at 30,643 on Friday.
According to the latest data released by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), at least 42 people across the country have tested positive for the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 5,160 tests in the past 24 hours, of which 42 people have tested positive. The Covid positivity rate was recorded at 0.81%.
