Pakistan passes grim milestone of 29,000 deaths from Covid-19

Pakistan reports 414 coronavirus cases, 9 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,285,254, Pakistan has reported 9 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,737 on Wednesday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), in the past 24 hours, 414 people have tested positive for COVID-19.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

So far, 13,027 people have died from the epidemic in Punjab, 7,621 in Sindh, 5,846 in KP, 955 in Islamabad, 742 in Azad Kashmir, 360 in Balochistan, and 186 in the UK .

In addition, Sindh has confirmed 475,820 coronavirus cases, Punjab has confirmed 443,185 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has confirmed 180,075 cases, Islamabad has confirmed 107,722 cases, and Azad Kashmir has confirmed 34,556 cases. 33,484 cases have been confirmed in Luzhi Province and 10,412 cases have been confirmed in Kyrgyzstan Province.

Test and restore

To date, Pakistan has conducted 22,028,156 coronavirus tests and 42,381 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,242,354 patients, while 896 patients are in critical condition.
