Pakistan's coronavirus positivity rate above 1pc for third day in a row

Pakistan reports 395 coronavirus cases, 11 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,288,761, Pakistan has reported 11 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,823 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 395 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,050 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,634 in Sindh 5,885 in KP, 962 in Islamabad, 743 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 477,721 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 443,794 in Punjab 180,611 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,081 in Islamabad, 34,601 in Azad Kashmir 33,528 in Balochistan and 10,425 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 22,479,184 coronavirus tests and 50,859 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,250,427 patients and 759 patients are in critical condition.
