Pakistan reports highest number of single-day COVID-19 cases

Pakistan reports 357 coronavirus cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,290,848, Pakistan has reported 7 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,870 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 357 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,057 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,649 in Sindh 5,907 in KP, 963 in Islamabad, 745 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 478,942 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,119 in Punjab 180,938 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,240 in Islamabad, 34,633 in Azad Kashmir 33,548 in Balochistan and 10,428 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 22,778,855 coronavirus tests and 47,903 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,252,396 patients and 666 patients are in critical condition.
