Pakistan reports 3,567 coronavirus cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours

Lahore: Pakistan has reported seven more deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours as confirmed positive cases surged to 1,315,834. The national death toll jumped to 28,999 on Friday.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,567 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Province details

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

494,064 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Sindh, 450,686 in Punjab, 181,996 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 110,243 in Islamabad, 34,726 in Azad Kashmir, 34,726 in Balochistan 33,682 cases and 10,437 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has conducted 24,032,951 coronavirus tests so far, 48,449 in the past 24 hours. 1,260,407 patients have recovered in the country, while 675 are in critical condition.
