Pakistan's daily COVID-19 case count over 5000 for first time in six months

Pakistan reports 353 coronavirus cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,293,081, Pakistan has reported 7 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,905 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 353 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,062 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,661 in Sindh 5,921 in KP, 966 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 480,288 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,496 in Punjab 181,167 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,425 in Islamabad, 34,655 in Azad Kashmir 33,621 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 23,096,757 coronavirus tests and 48,148 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,254,413 patients and 624 patients are in critical condition.
