Pakistan's daily COVID-19 case count over 5000 for first time in six months

Pakistan reports 348 coronavirus cases, 6 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: Pakistan has reported 6 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours as the number of positive cases has soared to 1,294,379. On Tuesday, the death toll across the country jumped to 28,918.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 348 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,066 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,666 in Sindh 5,924 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 481,096 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,752 in Punjab 181,285 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,534 in Islamabad, 34,657 in Azad Kashmir 33,626 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 23,273,887 coronavirus tests and 39,739 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,255,396 patients, while 636 patients are in critical condition.
