Pakistan reports 2,783 coronavirus cases, 39 deaths in 24 hours

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 986,668, Pakistan has reported 39 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 22,760 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,783 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,865 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,697 in Sindh, 4,380 in KP, 787 in Islamabad, 598 in Azad Kashmir, 319 in Balochistan, and 114 in GB.

Furthermore 354,103 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 349,890 in Punjab, 140,293 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 84,399 in Islamabad, 28,884 in Balochistan, 21,811 in Azad Kashmir and 7,288 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 15,345,158 coronavirus tests and 49,247 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 918,329 patients and 2,508 patients are in critical condition.
