Pakistan reports 277 coronavirus cases, 14 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: Pakistan has reported 14 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,290,491. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,863 on Friday.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 277 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

478,717 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,074 in Punjab, 180,887 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 108,215 in Islamabad, 34,630 in Azad Kashmir, 33,540 in Balochistan and 10,428 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 22,730,952 coronavirus tests and 41,927 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,252,157 patients, while 718 patients are in critical condition.
