Lahore: Pakistan reported 25 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours as positive cases surged to 1,393,887. The national death toll had jumped to 29,162 on Thursday.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 7,539 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 13,126 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,765 in Sindh 5,986 in KP, 979 in Islamabad, 752 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 187 in GB.
Furthermore 533,496 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 469,540 in Punjab 187,983 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 122,098 in Islamabad, 36,082 in Azad Kashmir 34,131 in Balochistan and 10,557 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has conducted 24,754,277 coronavirus tests so far, 63,272 in the past 24 hours. 1,272,871 patients have recovered in the country, while 1,240 are in critical condition.
