Pakistan reports 244 coronavirus cases, 6 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases surged to 1,289,293, Pakistan has reported 6 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. On Monday, the national death toll jumped to 28,836.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 244 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,052 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,638 in Sindh 5,892 in KP, 962 in Islamabad, 743 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 478,017 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 443,886 in Punjab 180,661 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 180,696 in Islamabad, 34,608 in Azad Kashmir 33,532 in Balochistan and 10,426 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 22,564,577 coronavirus tests and 39,387 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,251,409 patients, while 731 patients are in critical condition.
