Coronavirus positivity rate in Karachi reaches 39.39pc

Pakistan reports 1,649 coronavirus cases, 3 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases surged to 1,305,707, Pakistan has reported 3 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,972 on Monday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,649 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,080 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,681 in Sindh 5,943 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 748 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 487,668 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 448,091 in Punjab 181,757 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 109,396 in Islamabad, 34,704 in Azad Kashmir 33,659 in Balochistan and 10,432 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Test and restore

To date, Pakistan has conducted 23,847,572 coronavirus tests and 45,002 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,258,987 patients, while 617 patients are in critical condition.
