Pakistan reports 53 coronavirus cases in 24 hours

Pakistan reports 141 deaths from COVID-19, highest since early May

Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,135,858, Pakistan has reported 141 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 25,220 on Wednesday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 4,199 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,633 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,698 in Sindh, 4,839 in KP, 855 in Islamabad, 686 in Azad Kashmir, 338 in Balochistan, and 171 in GB.

Furthermore 424,139 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 383,742 in Punjab, 158,243 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 96,980 in Islamabad, 31,928 in Balochistan, 31,087 in Azad Kashmir and 9,739 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 17,397,803 coronavirus tests and 61,410 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,019,434 patients and 5,586 patients are in critical condition.
